Sir Joseph Ward has introduced a novel feature in connection with loan certificates. At tho public schools "breaking up" at Thames printed forms jvere distributed to tho children. Each contains sixteen spaces, upon which children are asked to affix shilling stumps whenever they have saved sufficiently to enable them to do so. When the "scrap" is full, any post of'i"e 'fill exchange it for a £1 war loan certificate. Sir Joseph Ward says: "I T-mit the boys and girls of New Zealand to show their elders how to raise money.''
