Messrs Abraham and Williams Ltd., report:—At Johnsonville on the 9th inst. we had a fairly good yarding of both sheep and cattle. Fat stock were in fair demand and sold fairly well. Stores were on the whole rather slack and buyers were operating cautiously. Business was transacted at the following rates:—Prime fat wethers :545, fat ewes 29s to 29s 3d, fat and forward wethers 30s to 30s (Id, fat ewes and wethers (mixed) ;ios, fat and forward ewes 2 /s, 4- j tooth wethers 30s 6d, 2-tooth weth- j era 25s lOd, aged fat rams 2os, aged store ewes 13s (jcl. Light fat cows and heifers £12 to £l~< 10s, forward cows £10 10s to £11, fresh conditioned cows £8 &ei to £9, small store cows £7, bulls £1U to £12 10s, vealers and runners £2 to £4 10s.
