APPEAL FOR OUR SAILORS.
(To The Editor.)
Sir, —An appeal lias reached me for contributions to King George's Fund for Our Sailors of the Navy and Mercantile Marine and their families and dependents. This appeal has been sent by the War Funds Collecting Committee through the National Dairy Association. Coming through this channel it is directed to dairy factories and to individual suppliers. But as every individual m these Islands is living in comfort and prosperity thanks to our seamen, and as the material welfare of this country is derived from the farming industry, I am asking that those who are not farmers but who are indirectly living bv it, shall give what they are able to. this fund as some vccQgnincnor the debt we owe (a debt thlat never can be paid) to the men who are enduring terrible sea hardships that we may live m Sa^ t am appealing first and most particularly, however to the farmers of this district to give to their utmost. Contributions may be handed to me, or to any directly our business and , Yours b;rowN) Secty Levin Co-op. Dairy Coy, Litd. _ , p g At present £10 heads t e list.' Will some one try to get ahead of this contribution.
