Two local rinks went out' after much-coveted trophies yesterday, one to Shannon and the other to Foxton. Pyke's team had a runaway victory for the Kinneburg feathers at 'Shannon, while Pollock and his men were only beaten on the last head for the gold stars at Foxton-

The Shannon 'ffamc was very one-sided. The Levinites scored 7 on the first head and at one time I they had a lead of 24 to 2. Shannon, however, managed to score on a couple of heads and the game finished Levin 36, Shannon 8. The teams were: Levin —Ingrain, Hoe, Porteous and Pyke (slap); Shannon-Bovis, Shankland, J?argher and Stephenson (skip). Lancaster, Bronghton, lhomeon and Pollock (skip) Journeyed to Foxton and met Walker (w, Whibley and Woods (skip). Ihe score was 20 all at the 19th head. Ponton got three on the 20th heacl and Levin, being only able to notch 1 on the last head, lost by a narrow margin, the end being ao to 21. —
