Ihe ideas that many people enteitain respecting' tiie growth, of JNew Zealand trees are most extraordinary, and have no foundation of fact. The common belief seems to be that the trees of this country have a slower''rate of growth that of most exotics. In combatting - this popular but erroneous theory, Mr T. P.
