It is stated that an attack of hiccough that withstood all other treatment for 19 days was cured with one dose of quinine, 10 grains. A fan has been contrived for a military aeroplane which, by revolving, turns the dynamo that furnishes current for the car's wireless apparatus. Jamaica is to pay £60,000 a year for forty years from the termination of the war towards the reductions of the war debt of the United Kingdom. When the Grand Duchess Olga was born £1,000,000 was settled on her, and it is said that this huge sum was safely invested in British and French securities.
