On Saturday afternoon <tha ,l/c>Vn, [Defence Eifle Clftib fired the l-econd competition for /the second series of trophies in fine weather, although there was a strong westerly wind blowing up to a gale. The liglit was fairly good, and, paJdng the shooting; on the whote, J!t was very 'Satisfactory considering ttlho conditions. [Rifleman. P .Tones topped the sc-oi'c for tlie day and he wins the spccial trophy for the day. Conditions wore 10 shots and sight er at 200 yds. i r ollowiug are the scores:
Next Saturday, December 29 ; tlie.ro M'ill be no shooting on account of the holidays. The Club will continue its trophy shooting on S'af'iurday, January o, 19*18. Coaldfitionfe wili be ten shots and sightei- on 1000 yds range, weather permitting.
