Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report : At Waikanae on Thursday we had a small yai'ding of sheep and a medium entry of cattle, and practically all lines were sold at the following quotations: Sheep—Shorn fat ewes 25s Gd, shorn wethers 27s 2d. Cattle— Fat cows, £13 Is ; yearling steers, £6 10s, £0 IGs ; 2-year steers, £8 12s to £9 15s ; yeai*ling heifers, £4 2s Gd to £5 7s Gd ; weaner steers, £2 17s Gd ; 3 year bullocks, £14 ; forward empty heifers, £8 ss; forward empty cows, £9 10s ; store cows,£G 3s ; bulls, £7 to £8.

The N-Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report : At our usual weekly sale held at Levin to- day we offered a small entry of sheep and a good yarding of cattle to a good attendance of buyers. Quotations : Fair mixed shorn hoggets, 26s 3d ; 2-year steers, £9 15s ; 15-18 months steers, £7 7s to £8; forward condition cows, £8 5s to £9 17s ; good store cows, £7 2s to £7 10s; empty heifers, £4 15s ; weaner steersj £2 7s 6d to £-3 2s Gd ; dairy cows> £8 10s to'£9; line of good springing heifers, £10; fat bulls, £11 7s 6d to £13 2s Gd.

Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited report having offered a small yarding of sheep and cattle at their Levin yards on Tuesday, when the following prices were realised :—Forward ewes and wethers 27s Id, M.S- 2-tooth wethers to 245, light fat cows to £11 19s Od, weaner steers £2 to £3 2s, weaner heifers 30s to 42s Gd> young bulls £5 10.
