TENNIS.
LEVIN v. OTAKI
The first tennis match of the season was held on the Levin Courts on Saturday when a team from the Otaki club met and defeated the local players. Although the scores gave Otaki the big lead of 14 games to 5 the play was even and some -■ excellent/- games _ were witnessed. In the men's singles McKenzie and Hedditch fought out a close finish, the scores being 8 all, 150 ail, the Levin players losing' tlie game witli two clou-* ble faults. A very pleasant time was spent, afternoon tea being provided by the ladies.
