AN APPEAL.
May wo appeal th'i ougH your columns to the farmers, residents and tradespeople of the district for the benefit of oiu Sailoiy I' iiik[' ; which we are running on Saturday next at the Red Cross Slio-p. We should <7 teem it a. favour if dona/Jons were promptly left- at tlia shop as early as possible in the morning. The promises we have alread>v ; received are so far very encouraging including .si.v lambs, a sucking- pig, and a quantity <ff goods too numerous to mention. We think this being the appeal in Leviin for our "Sailors .Kund" we trust that the amount': collected will be worthy of the men, and cannot do better than give the following grace quoted by a famous Admiral's daughter before dinner—"Thank God and ohe British Navy for my good dinner." Thankfng you. We remain, SHIRLEY BECKETT, MARGARET -BEVAN, LILLIAN BARTHOLOMEW', BERYL T LILLY, EL-MA RISEVE.
