The "Chronicle" says a rjystery in connection with a missing £50 note was cleared up the other day. Nearly a year ago, the principal of a certain educational institution at Wanganui had forwarded to him, under registered post, a £50 note, and after the letter had been signed for by one of the attendants at the school, it was placed in a lettei'-rai'k, whence it disappeared.
