RIFLE SHOOTING.
The Levin Defence Rifle Club fired the second competition for the firsft series of trophies on Saturday afternoon in fine weather. The tricky wind and bright ligiht on the range were not very good at the start and Tblie first two lots of competitors down had a trying time with the result that the scores were not too good. The light gradually got better as shooting went on. Riflm. L. Ingram won the special trophy for the day's shooting. He tied with two others for the clay, but takes l |ahe trophy on the best count back on the finish of the shooting. Conditions were ten shots and sighter at 600 yards.
