Tho ladies responsible for the sale of work in aijd of St. Maiiy's Anglican Kindergarten School have arranged a tasteful and artistic array of goods on tlie stalls at i'ilie Century Hal! and are looking forward to brisk business and satisfactory financial results during today and to_inorrow. .Everything was in readiness for the official opening this afternoon. The various cr>mp<t';itAons were judtged by Mrs Hume! I, of Manakau, and tiiej variety and excellence of the entries were worthy of comment, as well as the care taken by the judge to en. sure a just verdict. Results were as follow*:— Sponge Sandwich.— Miss 15. Clark (Mr Park's trophy) 1. Miss M. Crowe (Mr Park's second trophy) 2, 3lrs Goldfiin. th (Mrf; Keedwell's trophy) 3. Fruit Cake.—Mrs Hanson. Ohau, (Mrs Pvke's trophy) 1, Mrs iXewman, AVeraroia (Mrs West Egginton's trophy) 2, MiVfi B. CI a iik (Mrs Sherlaw's tro. phy) 3. Madeira Cake. (Mil's iHeslop, Tiro Tiro road (Mrs Keedwell's trophy) 1, Miss Bowles (Mrs ILucah's trophy) 2. All i'ihe exhibits of cakes are to be sold for the funds, and the ladies iviill be glad of any further donations of cakes- to be disposed of in the same way to-morrow. This evening a concert, given by the same part{y that was so successful two months ago wiill be addedl fco the attractions of the baza air and' there will be another programme to-morrow evening.
