Farmers Co-operative Distributing Company report: CTlhe demand for oldl potatoes its now 'rapidly diminishing; new potatoes a ro appearing in considerable quantities' and prices have slightly declined. Fowl wheat is now coming to 'hand from Australia, which lilas somewhat enj-'edi the position, but prices are stil firm. Maize is very Ann and,home supplies short; and as high rates are ruling in Australia this cereal is likely, to remain so. Algerians just arrived from overseas are being offered at slighldy lower rates. Ryegrass is now in good demand and vailues are unchanged!. Thero is littlo prospect of clover values declining as the supply is likelly to bo siliort for some time to come. The position witlh reference to bran and (pollard is now being taken up by the Government and lit is hoped that they will make a more satisfactory arrangement for the coming season than has been the case during the last few monj'ihs. Pork is eagerly enquired after andi liilgh figu re* are offered 1 for any lines coming forward. Poultry is in keen demand with supplies short.

Vegetables. .Cabbage is now coming forward in somewhat .larger quantities and prlifces have declined. Prime lineis of lettuce are now to be had at satisfactory prices. Swedes are scarce and ■high figures are offered. Green peas are not yet in full supply and most satisfactory values are being obtaned. PrlJme rhubarb is still realising high rates. Leeks and spring onions have declined on account of the arrival of juhe shipment of onions.

IFruit.—lDessert and cooking apples are a little more plentiful 1 on account of outside consignments beflng landed, and high prices aire still being realised. Pears are very scarce and good values are ruling. Small consignments of cherries have come to ihand and record prices are being obtained.
