Xlho ladies of the Cal:holic Church wore in charge of tho lied Cross on Saturday, which was a record <iay for lied Cross l'uncls, the takings a mounting to over £33. Ttiey are to be congratulated upon I'aire splendid result of their efforts. There were 30 entries icr the sponge cake competition which \v«re judgeci by Airs sMidkle of iManakau. The results were, Mrs Golds'inilih, Ist., and .Miss Edna Clark 2nd., t'lie prizes were del ated to the fund#.
