PALMERSTON SHOW.
ENTRIES CLOSE ON SATURDAY. The time is drawing near fortheManawatu A. and P. Association's annual Show, and in this issue the committee remind breeders and exhibitors of the fact. Despite war conditions this year's exhibition is expected to be well upi to past standards, for the committee has abated no effort to maintain its reputation, and is offering as generous an allowance of prize money as ever. It recognises that competition and emulation are necessary to that after-war efficiency that is to keep New Zealand in the front of producing countries. Stock owners, on their part, will readily recognise that winning a prize ticket at an exhibition so eminent as Manawatu, sets the seal of excellence on their stock. Prospective exhibitors of horses, cattle, sheep, pies, Manawatu Kennel Club and Competitions divisions are reminded that entries are due to close on Saturday next. Those who have not received prize schedules should make prompt application to the secretary, Box 85, i J ulmerston. Separate schedules should be asked tor in the case of dogs. Arrangements for the big event are well forward, the grounds being in splendid heart. Space applications are very numerous both for motor and agriuultural machinery.
