A BRISK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Lim., report: At Levin on Tuesday a fair entry of sheep and cattle met with a brisk sale, and a clearance was made at the following prices:— Light fat wethers 37s 6d, fat and forward wethers 435, good store wethers 41s 6d, good conditioned hoggets 32s lOd, fair conditioned cows (small) £5 12s 6d to £6, 12-months heifers £3 8s to £5 lis, 12-mos. steers £5 (is to £7, 2-year Jersey bulls £4 15s to £6 17s Gd.
Messrs Abraham and Williams report: —At Levin, on Tuesday, we had small yardings of sheep and cattle. Competition was keen, and practically all the lines changed hands at the following prices : — Fat ewes 34s 6d, fat hoggets 38s, woolly do. 34s 5s to 35s lid, fat speyed heifers £14s 2s, store cows £7 to £7 14s, forward cows £8 4s to £9 5s 6d, small yearling steers £5 16s, Jersey bulls £7 16s, springing heifers £9 10s to £12, heifers in calf £6 10s, sows in pig 42s to 545, weaners 13s to 18s, small stores 24s to 2Cs, porkers 40s to 4us (id.
