R.A. CHAPTER & RITUAL

CONTEST.

The quarterly meeting of the Royal Arch Chapter of No. 3 District was held in Otaki last evening. D.P. Bro. McKnight' presided over a good attendance of members. The election of officers resulted : —R.A.D., D.P. Bro. McKnight (Foxton); R.V.A., P.A. Bro. A.Smith (Foxton); R.S., P.D.P., Bro. C. Thompson (Levin); R.T., P.A. Bro. Storey (Levin) ; R.G., P.A. Bro. Symonds (Otaki) ; R.A. Bards, P.A. Bro. Macintosh (Levin) and P.A. Bro. Tippler (Shannon); R.V. Bards, Bro. W Wilson (Otaki) and P.A. Bro Noble (Otaki)

At the close of the Chapter, the innual ritual contest was held for -odges in No. 3 District. The udges for the contest were j.V.P. Bro. Flanagan (Wellingon), P.D.P. Bro. Skinner and P.A. Bro. Jolly (Oroua Lodge, Palmerston). Teams competed rom Levin, Shannon, and Otaki, ind the winners were from the shannon Lodge with 244 points, L-evin second with 241 points, ind Otaki third with 230 points. The Otaki brethren hospitably antertained the visitors, and during the evening the shield was presented to the winning team by the G.V.P.
