WHAT THK BOY .SCOUTS DID. -he iocal Boy Scouts had a Field Day last Saturday when under the charge < f the Rev. Stevenson they took over the Levin Lied > ross Shop, iilnergetic Scouts canvassed in all directions for supplies, and when stocks began to look low fresh raids were made .:>n iowl runs and home larders. Parcels were delivered from the shop with a promptitude that made the local business people feel sorry tney hadn't a Scout or two on their srait. When purchase's wero not forthcoming fast enough the boys sallied forth with the goods under their arms and returned with the cash. Their happy efforts were rewarded with a splendid day's takings, the total of which reached the sum of £17 3s 2d, when they sorrowfully closed down because there was nothing more to sell.
