[PBB PEEBS ASSOCIATION.] THE REGULATED M.P. Christcliurch, This Day. Mr P. C. Webb, M.P., the political prisoner, had an enthusiastic reception at the Trades and Labor Council Hast night. He said that for his efforts which had averted a great coal strike he had been rewarded with threle months' imprisonment. He paid a tribute to the police and gaol officials, but condemned the Prison {Regulations, especially* the da'rk cell. He ■ criticised the quality of food. On his return to Parliament lie would have something to say about the Second Division.
Ihe chairman of the gathering announced that £1800 had beeoi collected of the £2000 required for the dependents of men now in gaol for sedition.
