T. Hall, X.Z.E.F. (representing the Prime Minister), Colonel G. A. Mackenzie, (X.Z.8.F., and the Sheriff of York. The County side proved the smarter in passing and running, and to this advantage! they owed! a substantial victory. Newman opened the score for Xew Zealand, but Roberts failed to convert. Yorkshire replied with two tries and a penalty goal. Pilkington then crossed the line for iNew Zealand, Langford converting, and the score at the interval was Yorkshire 9 points, (New Zealand 8. In the second half Yorkshire added two goals, and won -by "19 points to 8.
Tlie New Zealand fifteen consisted of Moffatt (Auckland), Howie (Westport), Torrance (Dunedin), and O'Brien (All Blacks), Roberts (All Blacks), captain, and McLeod WelJington (five-eight), Patterson, Tananaiki (half-baak),, Muir,' Auckland, (wing forward), Sellars Auckland, Williams (Otago), Seeling (All Blacks) Sheehan Auckland, Longford Soutli Island, Newman 'Dunedin, and Pilkington Pahiatua (forwards).
