CLEARING SALE AT MANAKAU. On Friday (yesterday) the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., held a most successful sale of dairy stock on account of Messrs. D'Ath Brothers, at the farm, Manaknu. There was a good attendance of buyers, and as the oows were a gcod lot, and in the pink of condition, the sale went with a swing and tiptop prices were realised. The whefle herd, including several three-quarter-eel oows, made the good average ol £13 l'ss. The range of prices was: Best cows £17, £17 'ss, £17 10s, £17 15s, £18, £18 '10s, £19, £19 17s Gel, £20 os; good cows £12 to £16 los; late and tliree-quar'tered cows £8 to £11 17s 6d; 2-year heifers (October calvers), £6 lis to £8 ss; 18-uionth stoers £6 7s 6d; 10-month steers £5 7s, heifers ditto £5 ss, s.h. bull ditto £7 10s.
