The market 'has been well supplied with potatoes, but prices are remaining about the same. "Wheat has in accordance with the Government arrangements advanced Jd per bushel. On account of shortage of space from Australia oats are very firm. Maize is fairly plentiful recent prices being maintained. Bran and pollard are still hard to obtain and the market is very firm. The imported eggs are aibout exhausted and local supplies are inclined to rise in price. Dressed pork is still coming forward slowly and all lines meet with good demand. Poultry ie eagerly sought after at satisfactory prices. Oabbagea are coming forward a little more freely and are .meeting with good prices. Cauliflojvers arel scarce and good lines are realizing high prices. Only hothouse beians are now available and these bring record prices. Fair lines of lettuce have been coming forward and prices are in accordance. The supply of swedes is satisfactory and fair prices are ruling. Pumpkins are short but marrows are in good supply. Pansnips and carrots still met with ready sale, also beetroot, celery and spring onions. Choice lines of dessert apples are bringing high prices but as the quality of cooking apples coming forward has boen inferior in many cases prices are much lower. Choice lines of cooking and dessert pears have been scarce and recent rates are being upheld. Grapes are in very short supply. Potatoes.—Prime Hutt £6 to £6 10s. Cabbage.—Choice, 10s per sack.
