Luck of the Ballot.

-4 A young man in Levin, Mr J. M. Parsons, a clerk in the employ of Messrs Abraham and Williams, Levin, recently enlisted a few days after ooming of military age for a draft two months abend, so that he might be enabled to take a well-earned holiday that had been granted him by the firm before proceeding to camp. When the last ballot list appeared yesterday morning, his name appeared amongst the Levin man drawn, yet others have been- waiting ever since the ballot came into operation and have missed it. Such is luck!
