iHOROWHENUA ASKS FOR ONE DAY'S RACING. (Otaki Mail.) A number of prominent members of the Horowhenua Racing Club (including the president of the club, Mr James McLeavey) waited on the Otaki Maori Racing Club at Otaki on Saturday last, when the vjisitors strongly urged that Otaki forego its one day meeting in the spring, and so enable Levin to hold one day's racing in the year.
Mr. Ren Ling, who represented this district at the allotment committee's) meeting jin Wellington, explained what had' transpired at the conference, and the gathering discussed the matter fully. 'No decision was arrived at by the meeting, but the Mail understands that a meeting . of Otaki Club will be held shortly, delegates will be dealt with.
