The objects which the Bill is intended to effect are:— To constitute the Foxton 'Harbour District; to appoint an additional member of the Board reresentjing the Kairanga County to enable His • Majesty to transfer and the above Board acquire certain lands and j assets. being the [Railway Wharf and other parts of the foreshore at I Foxton; to enable the Board to acquire a dredge; to effect general harbour works for the improvement and management of the Foxton Harbour; to borrow moneys not exceeding £16,000; to provide for the raising of such loan the payment of ' interest thereon and redemption thereof; to enable the Board to levy a_differential rate within the iFoxton Harbour District as therein set out and fixing the maximum of such rate. A copy of this Bill and a. plan have been ' deposited 1 ,at the Stipendiary Magistrate's Courthouse at Palmerston North and at the offices of the Foxton Harbour Board, Foxton, and arc' there open to public inspection.
