Ohau Institute (Committee finds its funds depleted. PractioaHy all the moneys it has raised durin gthe last three years have been devoted to paitriotic purposes. To-day the institute is faced with the need for expenditures on its own 'behalf-—more especially in the matter o>f installing a new scheme of lighting tluat was very much needed. To raise in part the necessary funds, a concert and dance has been arranged', for Thursday of next week. Amongst the contributors to the concert program will be a troupe of pierrots from Levin. Tlie Othau dances, always have been popular and the coming one should be no exception. Doubtless the institute will secure for itself the necessary financial support needed fo rits maintenance. Good music and a good supper are to be provided.
