"LEVIX CLUB'S' COMPETITION TROPHIES. The final match of this season was played at Levin gre n last Friday, between Mclntyro and Porteous to decide the winner of the Handicap Singles. I'll© green, owing to the lateness of the season was not in good order, so that neither player was up to form. Both started from scratch and Porteous eventually won. Tlie season lias Iwn notable for the number of competitions, for trophies presented by fllessrs Pvke (president) 'Roe (vice-presi-dent), Brown, Pink and the club. The following is a list of winners:— ißink competition.—Reading, 'Holdaway, Suhan and Ourrie (skip). Championship pairs.—Kiirk and Holdiaway 1, Lancaster and Mclntyre 2. Championship singles.—lngram 1, Mrilntyre 2. Handicap singles.—Porteous 1, Mclntyre 2, Hoe and Thomson hold tlie Challenge Bowen Stars for pairs, and Kirk 'holds tlie Challenge ißoe Button for singles. The pair of bowls presented for the Ladder Competition did not find a winner as no player had eight wins to his credit on the ladder record.
