Wedding at Levin
, • CORPOiRAL STUOKEY AND MISto F. SAXON. A very pretty wedding took place in St .Mary's Church, Levin, yesterday when Corporal A. W. Stuckey was married to Miss F. Saxon, youngest daughter of Mrs. Sas: m, of Levin. The church had been p 'etoily decorated for the occasion bj trends of the bride. The Rev. G. B Stephenson ' was the officiating clergyman, and Mrs. Matthews was the organist. The bride, who was given away by her brother, iMr. A. Saxon, was wearing a tailormade navy costume braided with black, with saxo blue panne velvet hat, and carried an ivory prayer book. The wee bridesmaids, Misses Ethelwynne Saxon and Violet Duncan, wore dainty frocks of white muslin and silk, respectively, and carried white shepherdess' crooks decorated with white chrysanthemums and asparagus fern. The bridegroom was supported by Sergt.Major Dent. After the ceremony, a reception was held at tho residence of the bride's snter, Mrs. Fnanklyn "Webb. Mrs. Saxon, mother of the bride, was wearing a handsome black satin gown, while Mrs. Franklyn Webb was in black silk taffetas relieved with white point lace and pink chiffon; black hat with plume. Mrs. Duncan's costume was of black eharmeuse, handsomely braided, with which she wore ia black beaver hat trimmed with pink. Mrs. [I*. IX Wallace was wearing a black and white checked costume, and black hat with violets. Mrs. ißichter was in grey gabardine with black and white hat. Mrs.Callanan's (Feilding)' costume was of black cloth, black hat with palo blue. Mrs. A. Saxon was wearin;': a brown gabardine costume with bla k and white hat; Miss Ivnyvett, navy costume with black and white h;it; Miss Moir (Wellington), brown cjst-unie and hat ,with turquoise. Amonest tl:o-:o present wore 'Mrs. Hitcli-iuo-'-f, .Mr. and Mrs. Cutfield, Mrs. Smart, Mrs. R. A. McDonald, Mrs. Cork, Mr. and Mrs. Rixon, Mrs. Eastliei', Mrs. Duckworth, Mrs. Vickers, Mrs. Hollis (Wellington), Mrs. Swainson (M'Piinliau), Mrs Simpson. and Misses Eves (2). Gcodbehere and Easthe:'. After the reception, the happy couple left for the South /where tho honeymoon is to be spent. Amongst the many presents were several cheques. The wedding-cake (a beautiful three-tiered confection), was made and given by Miss 'Moore, of Feilding. i JMI
