The potato market has suffered a •eharp decline owing to huge supplies now coming in. Tlio Southern crops promises a good average yield. There is no change in wheat values. Maize is slow of sale. The damage to the Southern oat crop through the wet weather during harvesting has resulted in a sharp rise in values which will doubtless bo maintained. Pollard is very scarce. Bran is firm at recent rates. Farmers are now largely using linseed oil cake meal for all classes of stock feeding with excellent results. Eggs are unchanged .and- in .good demand at satisfactory rates. Dressed pork is in short supply. Molasses arc practically unprocurable. Vegetable.—The best lines of green peas are in ikeen demand and realising high prices. Choices. Choice cabbages are scarce and selling at improved rates. Good lines of French Beans are readily bought at satisfactory prices but- inferior lines are hard to quit. Lettuce is in short supply. Swedes are in bettor demand. Cauliilowers are scarce and bring high values. Beetroot is selling well. 'Pumpkins and marrows are in fair demand. Parsnips, carrots, spring onions, leeks and celery are all selling well. Fruit,—(Dessert apples are in tail' demand and choice lintG are selling at satisfactory rates. The supply oi choice cooking apples is not equal to the demand and prices hare improved. Tomatoes are in good supply and bring satisfactory prices. I'lums of all kinds are scaiee. Dessert and cooking pears are coming infreely and realising high prices. Grapes are selling well. Potatoes Prime llutt 10s per C\\ t, others 5s to 7s per ewt. Cabbage.—Cho-ce 10s per sack; medium 7s per sack. Cauliflower. —12s per sack Carrots.—Best os per sack. Onions.—Local £7 per ton. Lettuce. —Choice is per case. French Beans.- 3d per lb. Beetroot.—-4d per bunch. Spring Onions. — 9:1 per bundle. Green Peas. —2s per peck. Parsnips.—7s Gd per sack. Marrows 3s to -is per sack.
