'WAIKANAE STOCK SALE,
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited report having held their "usual sale at Waikanae on Thursday when they offered a good yarding of she-.p and cattle. Although the t>nle was at .first inclined to drag, a practical clearance was effected under the hammer at satisfactory prices. They quote:— Sheep.--4 and 6-tooth wethers to 34s 3d; 2 -tooth wethers 27s 9d to 28s lOd; mixed age ewes to 27s <3d; 4 and 5-year ewes 2os to 26s 3d; m.s. woolly lambs to 20s; cull ewes 14s; cull rams £2 2s. Oattlo.—Fat cows to £12; fat maiden heifers £'11; 3-year steers £11; heifers r.w.b. "£5 17s; springing heifers to £10 ss; weaners heifers 355; yearling bulls £4 14s.
