"|P>URSUANT to section 13 of thd Municipal Coroporations' Amendment Act, 1913, it is hereby notified that a petition, in accordance . with regulations, signed by not Jess than onefifth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, praying that the said, area may be constituted a borough under the Muucipal Corporations Act, ;1908, by name the 'Borough of Shannon. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed constitution within one montih 'from tho first publication of -thlis notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington. SCHEDULE. PROPOSED BOROUGH OF SHANNON. ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northeastern side of Johnston street distant- 2500 links from George-street; thence along right line bearing 47 deg. 37min., distance 1569.7 links, to a public road across that road, and along its northern sido to the westernmost corner of Section 635; thence along a right lane bearing 123deg. 14min. 35sec., distance 12362.7 links, bearing 223deg., distance 7161.3 links, bearing 303deg. 14min. 35 sec, distance 10995.6 links, Bearing 317deg. 37mm., distance 796.8 links, bearing 47deg. 37min., distance 4882.8 links to Johnston Street, across that street and along its northern side, distance 1600 links, to the place of commencement.
