DISTRICT APPOINTMENTS TO BE MADE. It has Leon decided to enlist 13 men for duties as Military Police in tlie Wellington District. Appointments will be made from returned soldiers or from home service details, who are unfit for active service hut are fit for home servica» The conditions of appointment are that- the applicant must be of military age, between 20 and 46 years, but. preferably over 25 years of age. The pay will be 5s per diem, and 4s per dliem [lodging jaßowaiict,— total 9s, with complete uniform found. A travelling allowance will be made when the policeman is travelling at the rate of 8s per diem.
