LEVIN STOCK SALE. Under date of 7tli February, Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd, report 'having held their weekly sale at Levin last Tuesday, when tliey, offered a- good yarding of sheep and a fair one of cattle. There was considerably more lifei tlian lias been experienced of late and practically the whole entry changed hands at satisfactory prices. They quote:—Fat ewes to 34s lOd, 4tooth wethers 31s, 2-tooth wethers 28s Gd, 4 tooth ewes 30s 7d, s.m. ewes 255, 29s Gd to 30s, potter rams to 20s; light, weight fat heifers to £9 os, 2}yr steers to £11 4s, speyed heifers £10. A line of 65 2Jyr steers off "Tangimoana" station fetched £10 13s. WAIKAXAE STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report—At Waikanae on Thursday we had a heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle. There was keen competition for all classes of stock, and altogether we have to report a highly successful .sale, the whole yarding changing hands under the hammer. Some of our principal sales were:— On account of Messrs M. and R. McLean: 115 4 and 5-year owes, 335; 120 4 and 5-year ewes (off sandhills) 31s 6d. On account of Messrs Monk Bros.: 120 (3-tooth to 5-year old ewes (low condition) 28s 3d; 70 2-tooth wethers 29s 9d. On account of Mr H. R. Elder: 250 2-tooth wethers 30s 2d; 120 1 2-tooth wethers 31s 4d; 100 small Q-tooth ewes 27s lid to 30s lOd. Other quotations: Cull ewes 20s "to 20s 6d; 2-tooth wethers 28s to 29s '10d; 2-tooth ewes (small) 275; 2 and 4-tooth wethers 30s 9d, 31s; woolly lambs 18s; full mouth rams 20s to 41s. 21-vear-okl steers £11; 2-year-old steers £9 12s; mixed yearlings £3 Ge Gd, £3 los; 18-inonth and 2-vear heifers r/iv.b. £5 18s, £6 55,. to £6 16s; mixed 15-month cattle £4 10s, £4 'los to £5.
