Levin Frivolity Minstrels and Revue Company will repeat their entertainment on Thursday night—at Manakau—in aid of the funds of the Horowhenua County Fund for Relief of Returned Soldiers and their Dependents.

Levin park domain (the recreation ground) has lost several of its means of .revenue. There now is no football played in Levin; 110 cricket; and there was 110 tennis played last year. The club now is revived and the Domain Board has resolved that in view of hard times in sporting circles generally there be 110 charge made against the tennis club until after the war. Meanwhile the board will have an annual revenue of £10, derived from the leasing of grazing rights to Messrs Abraham and "Williams, Ltd. The board's present credit balance amounts do part of a pound sterling.

Horowhenua. Lake is now much lowtliiin the water in the stream along Beach road. This report was made to the Lake Doriiain • Board last night, by Mr H. B. France. The suggestion was made at the meeting that the present time afforded an excellent oppctunity of ascertaining the true level of tile lake, with intent to fix and mark permanent levels.
