Goad lettuce meets keen competition. Turnips, parsnips and fcarrots are selling well at satsifactory prices. Spring onions and celery are selling freely. Swedes are slow. Fruit.—Stone fruit continues to arrive in large consignments and there si good demand for all varieties; Peaches, apricots and greengages are mostly enquired for and satisfactory prices are being realised. Nelson tomatoes are arriving in largo quantities >and prices are lower. Local dessert and cooking apples are now comingin and meet ready sale at good prices. Maize.—ss 6d per bushel.
