PERSONAL ARROWTOWN - Mrs Clark and two daughters of Dunedin are spending the school holidays with Mrs M. Scott.
Mrs J. Snell, two daughters and small son of Dunedin, arc visiting relations.
Mrs A. Hamilton and daughter Valmae, of Alexandra, are on a visit to relations during the school holidays. Mr and Mrs R. Hanton and small son, of Dunedin, are on a month’s holiday and are staying with Mr Hanton’s father, Mr J. Hanton.
Mr and Mrs D. Baird and family, of Riversdale, are spending a holiday with Mr and Mrs G. R. Smith.
Misses Margaret Paterson and Zoe Walker, of Waitaki Girl’s High School, and Miss Ruth Patton, of Gore High, are all visiting their parents for the school vacation.
Mrs Beale has returned home from Southland.
CROMWELL Miss N. G. Henderson is home on holiday from Wellington. Miss M. Crabbe, Shannon Farm, is spending her holidays at home.
Mr A. Hardy, Invercargill, is the guest of Mr and Mrs T. A. Crabbe, Ripponvale. ’ Miss Shirley Jolly, Dunedin, returned to Cromwell last week.
Miss Daphne Howell left Cromwell last week for Christchurch.
Miss Ivy Laurence is home on holi day from Training College.
Mr Bill Stephens left for Mosgiel last week for the week-end.
Mr Harold Roberts, of Wellington, spent the past week in^Cromwell.
Miss Nyra Roberts, St. Dominies College, is spending her holidays with her parents.
Miss Josephine Holm, Teschmakers, and Miss Mary Holm are spending their holidays with their parents, Mr and Mrs J. Holm, Cromwell. Master Athol Smith, St. Kevin’s is home on holidays.
Mr Ted. Napier returned to Cromwell during the week-end after spending the past week in Christchurch. Mrs L. Wilson, Oamaru, is the guest of Mr and Mrs L. Neill, Cromwell. Mrs N. Sanders returned to Cromwell over the week-end. % WANAKA
Mrs E. M. Trcvathan has left for Timaru where she will attend the wedding of her son, Mr C. Trcvathan. Mr and Mrs.F. O’Sullivan, of Lawrence, are spending a short holiday in W anaka.
Mr and Mrs H. Aitken, of Dunedin, are staying at Wanaka for a fortnight.
Mr and Mrs White Parsons, of Invercargill are on holiday in their Wanaka residence.
Mr Allan Campbell has left for Dunedin on his annual leave. Mr and Mrs A. Duncan and family are spending a holiday at their Wanaka cottage.
Mrs A. Collins accompanied by her mother, Mrs M. Feehly, has returned from Arrowtown.
WEATHER CROMWELL During the early part of the past week the weather was fair until Friday when low fogs were experienced, making conditions cold, the fog lifting on Sunday. WANAKA
The weather during the week has been fine with an absence of wind while sharp frosts up to 12 degrees have been experienced. A southerly wind brought a fair fall of- snow on the higher peaks.
