on Monday? Mrs Wahrlich and daughter, Clare, are spending three weeks’ holiday in Timaru.
GLENORCHY Mrs Clarkson is visiting Dunedin. Mr Spencer, of Christchurch, is visiting Mr and Mrs V. Keay. Mr«D. Nichol, of Kaitangata, is visiting Mr and Mrs R. Baulin. Mr J. Forbes is visiting Dunedin. Mr and Mrs L. Robinson, Dunedin, who have been the guests of Mr and Mrs B. Aitken, have returned home, Mr and Mrs L. Groves arc visiting Dunedin.
Mr G. Cochrane and party are completing their work at the hall preparatory to the screening of films, the opening date being May 8. MB's K. Scott, of the Rees Valley Station, secured the record price for the Dominion at the recent Dunedin wool sale.
Mr and Mrs J. Richmond, who have been spending a holiday with Mrs E. M. Trevathan, have returned to Waimate.
Mrs Allan Campbell has left for a short visit to Dunedin. Mr D. Matheson has returned from a holiday in Dunedin.
Mrs F. E. Forth has left Waiiaka for an extended tour of the North Island.
Mr and Mrs E. A. Waters have returned from a holiday in Roxburgh and Dunedin.
Mr G. S. Liddell, of the Bank of New Zealand, Alexandra, has received notice of his transfer and is to be replaced by Mr Allan Brisk, of Lawrence.
Mr Ben Hart lias replaced Mr Allan Brisk at the Bank of New Zealand, Lawrence.
Mr L. Crabbe, of Shannon Farm, returned to Cromwell on Sunday night after a week-end in Dunedin.
Mr J. Bratley returned to Cromwell on Sunday after spending a few days in Dunedin.
Mrs T. Crabbe, of Eipponvale, left for Dunedin last Monday.
Mr Allan Campbell, Jun., of Bannockburn, left for Dunedin last Monday
morning. Mr Robert Orr journeyed to Dunedin last Saturday. Mr and Mrs W. H. Liddicoat left Cromwell last week for Mr R. L. M. Congalton is in Cromwell for the opening days of the shooting season. >.
Mrs G. A. Francis, of Lauder, is spending a few days in Cromwell with her sister, Mrs F. Bartridgc. Mrs McFelin left for Ashburton last Monday.
Mrs Geo. Hansen left for a few days holiday in Dunedin.
Mrs Carden left for the North Island last week.
Messrs Hamilton Bros, arrived in Cromwell during the to take over the business of D. A. Jolly and Sons, Ltd.
Mrs H. Stokes, of Tarras, left for Dunedin last Monday.
Mr and Mrs William Smith, of.Long Eaton, Nottingham, passed through Cromwell last week.
WANAKA Mrs Willis Scaife is leaving for a short visit to her daughter in Oamaru.
