RUGBY FOOTBALL
Cromwell “A” Grade A Cromwell A Grade team travelled to Alexandra last Saturday, where they were defeated by that team, 17 0.
Cromwell were beaten both in the forwards and backs, thgir play lacking dash, while the Alexandra team combined well both back and forward, although the play was inclined to be of a rather loose nature.
The Cromwell forwards will need to pack better to achieve success and on Saturday’s game the backs will have to considerably improve their positional play.
CROMWELL JUNIOR GRADE Cromwell played Alexandra juniors at .Cromwell last Saturday, Cromwell winning by a fairly wide maigin, 24 — 3.
Cromwell used the ball to good advantage when in possession, but forward play is still inclined to bo too gentle and lacking solid bustling and tackling.
Tries for Cromwell were scored by Glassford (one), Crabbe (1 try, 1 conversion), Parata (one try), Auld (one try, two conversions) and Laurie (two tries). More juniors will have to attend practices as attendance so far has' been very poor.
