Arrowtown Entertainers
The annual meeting of the Arrowtown Entertainers was held in Thompson’s Tea Booms on Wednesday, April 21, at 8 p.m. Present: —Mesdames J. Hansen, L Henderson, J. W. Eeed, 0. Walker, W. Given, W. B. Gibb, J. B. Summers, H. McLean, G. Ogilvie, Misses E. Metlrven, G. Thompson and D. Terry; Messrs J. Henderson, W. B. Gibb, G. Ogilvie, A. Bailey, and E. Thompson. The report and balance-sheet were read and confirmed. It was decided at the meeting to give £5 5s to the hungry children of Europe out of the funds. Mrs Ogilviie (president), before vacating the chair, thanked all her committee for the generous help they had given to her all through the year, and especially the secretary, Mrs J. Hansen, on whom quite a large portion of the work fell. It was also decided that the first concert be held in aid of the golf club. The subscription will be 2s 6d for the 1948-49 season. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mrs G. Ogilvie (reelected); secretary, Mrs W. Given; vicepresident, Mr W. B. Gibb; committee —Mesdames J. Hansen, J. Henderson, H. McLean, Messrs G. Ogilvie, J. Henderson, P. Stapp, and E. Thompson.
