Arrowtown Golf Club

A special meeting of the Arrowtown Golf Club was held in the Council Chambers on Tuesday, April 20, when a large number of members were present.

The purpose of the meeting was to obtain signatures to have the club incorporated. OPENING DAY HELD The Arrowtown Golf Club was opened during the week-end when there was a large attendance of members and visitors from Queenstown and Milton present.

Before declaring the season opened, the president, Mrs Douglas, expressed her pleasure at seeing so many present, and extended a very hearty welcome to everyone, and as the greens were in perfect order she hoped everyone would enjoy a good afternoon’s play.

Mrs Given -was then called upon to play the first ball.

A Canadian Foursome was then played and enjoyed by everyone. Afternoon tea was supplied by the ladies.
