QUEENSTOWN W.D.F.F.
The monthly meeting of the Queenstown branch of the W.D.F.F. was held in the McKenzie Hall, on Friday afternoon, April 2, there being a fair attendance of members present.
Final arrangements were made for the Birthday Party which will be held on April 28, all members are reminded to bring a basket.
The Roll Call and competitions were excellent, winners being:—Best bloom Mrs Hansen, decorative Miss Hamilton, handicraft Mrs Munro.
Hr Anderson, Mayor of Queenstown, spoke to the meeting on the World Wide Appeal for Starving Children. Mrs Byrne, of Dunedin, entertained the members with two beautiful solos, which were greatly enjoyed by all present.
The president thanked both Dr Anderson and Mrs Byrne. Hostesses were Mrs Gockburn, Mrs Walker and Mrs Dougherty.
