Arrowtown R.S.A.
Mr G. Douglas presided over the annual meeting of the Arrowtown branch of the R.S.A. on Friday, April 9.
There wfire 10 members present. Before commencing business members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the late Mr M. Elliott.
The following office-bearers were
elected: —
President: Mr G. Douglas (reelected ).
Senior vice-president: Mr W. H.
Thompson
Vice-presidents: Messrs F. Reid, D. Mackie, G. D. Paterson, D. Rowe, J. W. Reed.
Secretary: Mr G. Elliott,
Committee: President, secretary, vice-presidents, Messrs E, J. Saunders, C. Allen, L. C. Stapp and B. J. Feltcher.
Hill Committee: Messrs E. J. Saunders, W. Martin, D. Wilcox.
Rehabilitation member: Mr W. H.
Thompson
Visiting: President and secretary. Meetings are to be held quarterly on the first Friday of the month. The R.S.A. ball is to be held at Labour week-end. The last Social Committee was reelected, with the addition of Mr P. Stapp. Anzac service is to be held as usual. There is to be a working bee on Soldiers’ Hill on April 18.
