Wanaka Golf Club

The opening of the Wanaka Golf Club took place on Saturday, April 3, in ideal weather, when the president, Mr H. E. Harris, welcomed the players and made reference to the good order of the links. A Mixed Canadian Foursome was played over 12 holes, the winners being Mrs M. Halliday and Mr H. E. Harris. Best Cards Were Mrs M. Halliday and Mr H. E. Harris 69—20—49. Mrs K. Matheson and Mr F. Jackson 66—16—50, Miss H. Kaye and Mr L. M. Farrant 65 —11 —54, Mrs W. McKegg and Mr M. Anderson 72—20 52, Mrs W. Seaife and Mr E. Richmond 68- —16 —52, Mrs L. M. Farrant and Mr W.- Ironside 68 —12 —56, Miss C. Renton and Mr A. Allison 69 —13 —56, Mrs T. Allison and Mr T. Allison 78 —15 63.
