Large Cromwell Audience Enjoys Magic Show
Mr Geo. Tollerton’s “ Big Magic Show ” played before a capacity house last Saturday night, April 3. From commencement to finale the show was fast-moving and without a stop between acts. Miss Nellie Kolle male impersonator, who has played before New Zealand audiences for many years gave an excellent performance both in her male impersonations and at the piano. Royston, Australia’s greatest ventriloquist, delighted both young and old with his ventiloquism and Punch and Judy show. Miss Joan Reed, gave an excellent exhibition in tap dancing and played various other parts in a very capable manner. Mr Geo. Tollerton, the magician, kept his audience. spell-bound throughout his performance. Olga Kay and Lou Cotton kept the audience in fits of laughter and Jack Carleton at the piano kept things going with a swing throughout the evening. Altogether it was a wonderful show. Parawa Derby Parawa Derby has been very consistent of late and should go a good race in the Otatara Harness Trot at Invercargill on Saturday. ' Sea Power Sea Power failed to show up in his races at Riverton, but must be granted a good chance of winning the Awarua Handicap at Invercargill with 8.9.
