New Dental Clinic For Queenstown
The Southland Education Board is calling for tenders for the erection of a new dental clinic for the Queenstown School. Plans and specifications are available from the secretary of the school committee, Mr P. R. Hopwood. It is hoped that local builders will submit tenders so that this long needed amenity may soon be realised.
Sealing of Section Of Frankton Road Almost Completed
Sealing of several miles of the Frankton road adjoining the Queenstown Borough Council boundary, is expected to be completed this week. The work was begun in February. The approach to the town will be greatly improved by this sealing. During periods of heavy traffic this stretch of road has become badly corrugated and has been the cause of many complaints from tourists.
