Sugar Production
World sugar prodution this year is expected to he about 5 per cent, greater than in 1947. but it will still be slightly less than production before the Avar. The major production increases Avill be in either dollar areas or in Russia. The recent reduction in the British sugar ration was not due to a shortage of supplies, but to the' need to save dollars.
