Wanaka W.D.F.U.

Owing to the Wanaka Show being held on Saturday February 20, the attendance at the February Division meeting was poor. A welcome was extended to Mrs John Reid an ex-member of the branch who was presented with a bouquet by Mrs Bowler. The Roll Call “ Your Favourite Author or Authoress and Why?” provided interesting discussions. The Roll Call for the April meeting is “A Bowl of Autumn Leaves.” The hostesses were Mesdames G. Bowler and S. Stevenson. The winners of the Bloom Competition were: — Large: —Mrs G. A., Bowler I, G. Hansen 2. C. Walker 3. Small Miss Methven, Mrs Bowler, Mrs H. McLean 1, Mrs G. Ogilvie 2, Mrs C. Walker 3. It was decided to hold the annual meeting on the second Saturday in April instead of the third to enable the secretary to get returns to Wellington before the end of the month. The meeting closed with the National Anthem.
