QUEENSTOWN His Excellency the Governor-General, Sir Bernard Freyberg, presented the Air Force Cross to Mr B. F. Harvie, Queenstown, at a ceremony held at Dunedin on Tuesday,. March 16. Mr Harvie was a squadron leader in the R.N.Z.A.F. CROMWELL Mrs Muir and Mrs Slack are the guests of Mr and Mrs R. J. Lawrie. Mr Dan O’Connell has been the guest of Mr and Mrs J. Hosking, Cromwell. Mr William Osmund, who has been attached to the Cromwell courthouse, leaves this week for Dunedin, Mr Plum has returned to Cromwell to visit old friends after an absence of 40 years. Mr M. Murphy spent a few days in Christchurch and returned during the week-end. WANAKA Mr and Mrs F. Norris are visiting Dunedin. Mrs G. Harris, Palmerston North, is visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs C. Ironside. Mrs M. Briley is visiting Dunedin. Mrs Wylie, Gore, has been visiting her sister, Mrs E. Richmond. Mrs F. Murdoch, Timaru, is the guest of Mrs H. Harris, Mt. Barker. Miss B. Robertson, Middlemarch, was the guest of Mrs D. Galloway for the show. Mr and Mrs A. Thorley, Dunedin, have been visiting Mrs H. Halliday, Albertown.
