OPENING OF ’CHASING SEASON HORSES IN FORM The opening of the steeplechasing season "will fake place at the Birchwood Hunt Club's meeting tit Invercargill on Saturday, and as several of the horses engaged have been nominated for more important races ahead, the racing will he followed with it considerable amount of interest. The card, which contains four Hat races, two steeplechases, and two light-harness events, should provide itn excellent day’s racing, and horses which should race well include the following:— Noon: limiters' Handicap. — Rerimha, Victory Flight. 12.40: Otautan Harness Trot. — Rarnwa Derby.
